When this particular example arrived at Assetti Performance in stock form, we knew there was immense potential to turn it into something truly special. Through a meticulous selection of upgrades, this Defender 130 has been completely transformed into a bold and aggressive machine while enhancing its functionality, protection, and overall road presence.
Satin Stealth with Paint Protection Film
One of the most striking aspects of this build is the stunning satin finish, achieved using Stealth PPF (Paint Protection Film). Originally gloss-painted, this Defender’s appearance was completely elevated with the satin PPF, giving it a rugged yet refined look while offering superior protection against road debris, scratches, and environmental elements. Not only does it provide a fresh aesthetic, but it also ensures the vehicle’s paintwork remains in pristine condition for years to come.
Illuminating the Road Ahead – LED Grille Light
Lighting makes a huge impact in the overall look of the vehicle, and this Defender 130 now features an LED Grille Light that enhances the entire front end making it a certified jaw dropper! Sitting seamlessly within the grille, this addition improves nighttime visibility while maintaining a clean and factory-like integration. Whether tackling off-road trails or making a statement on the streets, this light bar ensures the path ahead is always well-lit.
Front-End Aggression – Lower Bumper Splitter with DRLs
Adding to the transformation is a lower bumper splitter that integrates seamlessly with the vehicle’s rugged front-end. Equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), this addition not only sharpens the visual impact but also enhances safety by increasing visibility during daylight hours. Widening the Stance – Wide Arches
To further emphasize the Defender’s commanding presence, we installed a set of wide arches. These not only enhance the aggressive stance of the vehicle but also provide extra protection to the sides from dirt, gravel, and road spray. The result? A bulkier, more dominant look that matches the Defender’s off-road capability while offering practical benefits.
Rolling in Style – Urban WX-3 Wheels
No transformation is complete without the right set of wheels, and for this build, we opted for the Urban WX-3 wheels. Their bold, multi-spoke design and stealthy finish perfectly complement the rest of the modifications, ensuring this Defender stands out wherever it goes. Paired with a high-performance tire setup, these wheels offer improved handling and a more planted feel on the road.
Subtle Yet Impactful – Urban Vents and Spoiler
Elevating both the style and aerodynamics of the Defender 130, we installed Urban Vents and an Urban Spoiler. The vents add a touch of motorsport-inspired aggression, while the spoiler enhances the overall silhouette, subtly refining airflow and adding to the vehicle’s road presence -and lets be honest, having those Urban badge’s do add a splash of social status 😏
