G-Wagon Stealth Conversion

The Mercedes G Wagon is an iconic vehicle, popular with celebrities, footballers and those looking for a vehicle with unrivalled road presence. When Bugzy Malone purchased his new G63 G-Wagon, it didn’t quite fit in with the rest of his fleet being gloss black. This is an easy solution to fix with XPEL STEALTH PPF, a satin paint protection film which can turn any gloss finish into a satin finish, whilst offering all the usual protection benefits as gloss PPF.

When converting a vehicle from gloss to satin with STEALTH, there’s a little bit more work involved than a regular gloss PPF job, every edge possible is tucked for a seamless finish, more parts of the car are stripped to allow to film to go behind body mouldings and lights. Each kit is tweaked on a job by job basis which is easily done thanks to the XPEL design access program pattern library.

The process took 5 full days for the team here at Assetti which includes a full decontamination wash and fitting of the STEALTH PPF to all panels. The finishing touches were satin black badges all round to compliment the new aggressive luck.
