Porsche 718 GT4RS Gets Protected

We love a Porsche at Assetti, even more so if it’s a GT variant. So we were happy to get the call from a customer to protect their brand new Porsche 718 GT4RS finished in black and fitted with the weissach pack which gives some lovely carbon fibre accents which definitely needed some PPF protection.

Finished in a flat black paint, the car looked amazing however before long this non-metallic paint would begin to show every little mark and scratch. However after being fitted with XPEL Ultimate Plus gloss PPF and Gyeon Infinite ceramic coating, the car has a barrier against any damage and can be enjoyed worry free.

Being a GT car, this GT4RS is designed to be driven. It’s not built to do the school run or leisurely drives around Europe. It’s designed to ultimately be used on a race track and pushed to the limits. Whilst the car is very capable of this, thanks to the aero design from Porsche and Porsche Carbon Ceramic brakes, it wouldn’t be long until the car would get covered in stone chips, debris and rubber if it’s enjoyed on a track. However with it’s armour of paint protection film, this isn’t a problem.

Whilst the primary purpose of PPF is to become a sacrificial barrier between your paint on the road, the other benefit is the films self-healing top coat. A micro layer on top of the film that resists micro scratches and swirls and will self heal in the sun naturally. The result, especially on a black car is a mirror like finish for years to come with no need for polishing or expert washing techniques. Further protected with Gyeon Infinite ceramic coating which forms a hydrophobic layer on top of the PPF, this GT4RS will be a breeze to keep clean even if it’s used as intended on a race track.
