Land Rover Defender 110 Fully Upgraded

We are no stranger to a Defender at Assetti, with various 90’s, 110’s and even 130’s rolling through our doors each week for a range of upgrades. However, every once in a while a customer comes to us with a vision to build something different. This was the case with this Defender 110 Hard Top which started life as a fairly basic trim level.

Having previously owned bespoke pick up’s, the customer wanted to keep their tradition of having a truly bespoke vehicle and so after an initial consultation and long wait for the vehicle to arrive, it came straight to Assetti after being collected from the dealer.

The brief was all black everything with a custom look different to most Defenders that we build. No problem for us at Assetti.

First on the list of things to go were the 20″ standard alloy wheels which weren’t doing the car justice. Instead upgraded with a satin black set of JDR 22″ with Geolander tyres to give a much more purposeful look to what would become a stand out Defender.

As with any big wheel upgrade, it’s not complete without our full gloss black wide arch kits, available for all models. These much larger arches help with any wheels that are fitted with a slightly more aggressive offset, however they of course still look great on any Defender without a wheel upgrade.

For the front of the vehicle, the customer wanted every option for lighting. Being a hard top variety, this is a work vehicle and extra lighting is always welcome. We fitted our roof mounted 4 pod LED light bar, LED daytime running light grill and our lower splitter with integrated daytime lights also.

The result is a completely different front view of the vehicle, which no doubt looks aggressive in any rear view mirror. With these upgrades the customer is ready to light the road ahead no matter the conditions.

The party piece which really sets this Defender apart from most, is the full SVR style carbon fibre bonnet. This entire replacement panel made of genuine carbon fibre was fitted to completely transform the vehicle. A much more aggressive styling piece with dual bullnose style grills which further add to the bespoke nature of this build.

The extensive list of parts fitted to this vehicle doesn’t stop at lighting and carbon fibre. Our fully stealth black 110 side steps were fitted along with roof mounted side ladder, a gloss black side box, all black roof rack along with a our gloss black rear spoiler and finally finished with our gloss black chequer plate protection kit.

This build was truly amazing to see the change from when the vehicle arrived to when it left and the customer was thrilled to see his initial vision come to fruition. A truly unique Land Rover Defender 110, built by Assetti.
